Winning the Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire’s Entrepreneur Challenge was a complete surprise for us at Lokkelebery Vineyard. We were grateful to be considered as finalists let alone winners! Since winning the award we have been overwhelmed with the support that the generous prize offering has given us. As a farming family with a new vineyard business on the cusp of its first wine sales, the last year has been a steep learning curve. However, the support of the many experts surrounding us thanks to the award has made these challenges all the more approachable and unlocked many new opportunities for us. For example, our amazing Pearldrop Productions promotional video coupled with our Focus 7 marketing strategy has put us in great stead to share our story, but also look back on the journey we have made so far. We have also benefitted from a great deal of financial advice in this crucial year for our business, for which we are truly grateful. Thank you so much again to the Lord Lieutenant, prize givers, judges and Hertfordshire Show for all of their tremendous support and this fantastic opportunity.
