Show Guides are available on Show Days where they will be sold at the Show entrances and the information office. It is also possible to pay for a Show Guide online before you visit the Show. You will receive a voucher via email which you can redeem on arrival. Show Guides cost £3.

The Show starts at 8.30am both days and closes at 5.30pm. To make sure you don’t miss anything, please plan your day using the Whats On and Timetable pages. Gates open for viewing equine classes from 7.30am.
Please be aware that trade vehicles will be moving around the Showground up to 8.30am and after 5.30pm.

The Showground is in Redbourn, Hertfordshire. There is easy access from J9, M1 or off Dunstable Road, coming from St Albans and Harpenden. Use postcode AL3 7PT.

However, you are more than welcome to bring your own picnic if you wish!

We aim to ensure that The Hertfordshire County Show is inclusive for everyone. Our policy on admission for disabled visitors is that whilst they are charged the appropriate full price admission, or the Early Bird/Advance rate, an accompanying Personal Assistant is admitted at no cost on the gate. Our policy is not to ask every ticket buyer for documentation, however please do bring a form of documentation with you as random checks may be carried out on the day.

There is limited designated parking in the Main Car Park through Gate E for those displaying the “Blue Badge”, allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Toilets for the disabled are located on 3rd and 5th Avenue. we also have a high need changing facility. The Jubilee Arena has a viewing area reserved for wheelchairs and mobility scooter users.

Yes! We love dogs! But please make sure they are on a fixed leads and behave themselves at all times. Dogs are not allowed in any food or animal marquee, and it is the responsibility of the owner to ensure they ‘clean up after themselves’.

The Night Before Farming Debate event will be held on Friday 22^nd May.  All members will receive a free ticket, there will be complimentary catering. This is a members only event.

The Hertfordshire Agricultural Society accepts no responsibility for private property whilst on the premises, including accepting any liability should lost property be returned for any reason to someone who is not its owner – e.g. if someone makes a false representation to the Society of ownership of property.

Property that is left on the premises will be kept within the Show office for a period of three months, after which it will be donated to a local charity shop. In order for property to be reclaimed, a detailed description of the item(s) and/or proof of ID will be required.

While every effort will be made to identify the possible owner of lost property (which is likely to involve searching of the item) and then make contact with them, the Society will not return the property to that person unless they provide the details set out in the previous paragraph.

The Society will not mail/courier any reclaimed property back to the presumed owner unless they send the appropriate fees to cover packing and postage. All items sent at owner’s risk. It is preferable the owner comes to the Show office to pick up the item(s).

All waste accumulated on the Showground over Show Weekend is dealt with by Grundon. Grundon removal is designed to process both domestic and commercial dry recyclables, materials recycled include paper, cardboard, plastic, metal and glass containers and other materials.

Over Show Weekend, there will be various points around the Showground where you can refill your water bottles for free, so please do bring your own bottles along or reuse ones purchased on the Showground. All food concessions will provide recyclable packaging – including straws!

The Hertfordshire Agricultural reserves the right to search the bags of any person wishing to enter the Showground for any unauthorised items (including offensive weapons, incendiary devices, fireworks, laser pens and paint-sprays) and reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone who does not comply with this condition. This is to protect all staff, stewards and members of the public.

The Show has over 160 stewards, private security, uniform and non-uniform police, the fire department and the army on site, creating a very safe environment for you and your family. Children’s wristbands can be picked up from the Main Entrance Gates or from Information Office.
There is a strict no vehicle movement inside the show during opening hours 0815 – 1745. We have designated car parks and the only vehicles moving onsite will be emergency vehicles and show buggies.
