The Hertfordshire County Show is an event held in order to raise funds for the Hertfordshire Agricultural Society, a registered charity (charity number 291037), which promotes and showcases local farming, agriculture, and related skills, crafts, trades, and professions. The funds raised from this event are vital in helping to support Hertfordshire Agricultural Society’s charitable activities throughout the year.

Shopping

There’s nothing quite like wandering through the bustling shopping avenues at the Hertfordshire County Show. The open grass spaces come alive with colour, creativity, and conversation. From artisan crafts and stylish homewares to rural lifestyle products and unique gifts you won’t find on the high street — this is the place to browse, buy, and discover.

Made in Herts

At the very heart of the showground sits Made in Hertfordshire — a proud celebration of local talent and craftsmanship that has been running for over a decade.
The Made in Herts Marquee has grown to become one of the busiest at the Show, giving local artisan producers and crafters the chance to promote, demonstrate, and sell their goods right on their doorstep.

Equestrian Zone

The ultimate equestrian extravaganza!
These stands are ideally located around the Main Showjumping Ring and central to the light horse competition rings — areas bustling with activity all weekend long. Whether you’re a competitor, enthusiast, or just love the atmosphere, the Equestrian Zone is an unmissable part of the Show.

Dog Zone

From tasty treats and stylish accessories to expert demonstrations and have-a-go activities, the Dog Zone is every dog lover’s dream! Whether you’re competing, shopping, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, it’s a hub of joy, laughter, and wagging tails — a must-visit for the whole family.

Food Court & Theatre Kitchen

Follow the delicious aromas to the Food Court, now bigger and even more mouth-watering in its new location between Third and Fourth Avenue. Discover gourmet cheeses, craft gins, beers and whiskies, homemade fudge, and irresistible treats from across the country.
Don’t miss the Theatre Kitchen, where top chefs cook live throughout the day. Pick up tips, try tasters, and explore a world of flavours.

Farmers Drive

The beating heart of agricultural life at the Hertfordshire County Show, Farmers Drive is where the sights, sounds, and traditions of farming come to life. Overlooking the bustling Cattle and Sheep Rings, this lively stretch is packed with excitement — from impressive livestock competitions and animal showcases to gleaming farm machinery and specialist agricultural trade stands.

Main Drive and The Avenues

Stretching the full length of the Show, Main Drive offers something for everyone — from hot tubs and sports cars to fire pits and pet clothing. Often favoured by lifestyle brands, the Avenues are home to stylish and diverse shopping opportunities, featuring everything from high-end clothing and outdoor living to local crafts.
