We hope you’ve had a fantastic start to the year! It’s been a busy time in the office as we prepare for the upcoming show, and we’re thrilled to share some updates with you.
Schedules Update
The schedules for livestock, light horse, and showjumping are in the final stages and will soon be ready to publish. Excitingly, we’ve been awarded qualifiers for some prestigious events:
Horse of the Year Show
- Harness Horse and Pony of the Year Championship
- The Price Family Supreme In-Hand Championship
- British Miniature Horse of the Year
We’re also hosting qualifiers for BSPS and BSHA, leading to the finals at the London International Horse Show along with Royal International Horse Show qualifiers for Hunters, Working Hunters, Hacks, Cobs and Riding Horses.
Judges
We’re delighted to welcome an exceptional panel of judges for our livestock classes, including Luke Curtis and Tim Elliot.
The judges for the Equine section are nearly completed and include Mr Nicholas Brooks-Ward judging the Price Supreme In-Hand, Mrs Lucy Saville judging the British Miniature Horse of the Year and Mrs Deborah Holt-Atkinson Judging the Harness Horse and Pony of the Year Championships. Food Theatre
Our Food Theatre is shaping up to be an incredible attraction! We’re thrilled to welcome back Chris Hale, a MasterChef finalist, who will be showcasing his culinary talents.
New for This Year
We’ve introduced some exciting new sections to the show:
- Hobby Horse Arena – come along and have a go at dressage and jumping, bring your own Hobby Horse or borrow one of our Riding School Horses and Ponies. There will also be a Tiny Tots area for the under 8’s.
- The Dog Zone

Lord-Lieutenant’s Entrepreneurs Challenge
Applications are open for this year’s Lord-Lieutenant’s Entrepreneurs Challenge. If you’re a Hertfordshire entrepreneur or know someone who is please encourage them to apply. The prizes, generously donated by local businesses, are truly outstanding.
