Hertfordshire County Show 2025 a Huge Success!

Hertfordshire, 24th and 25 June 2025 – Thousands of visitors flocked to the much-loved annual event, which once again showcased the very best of farming, food, family fun and countryside entertainment.

This year’s headline act, Ben Atkinson and his team of Atkinson Action Horses, dazzled crowds in the Main Ring with their thrilling stunt riding and high-energy performances. Their appearances were a standout highlight of the weekend, drawing spectators from across the region.

Visitors of all ages enjoyed a jam-packed programme of attractions, with something for everyone. The newly launched Dog Zone, complete with its own fun dog show, proved incredibly popular – attracting proud owners and dog lovers alike. Elsewhere, crowds were entertained by the energetic Hobby Horse arena, hands-on rural activities, shopping avenues, delicious local food and drink, and interactive agricultural experiences.

The livestock competitions once again celebrated excellence in British farming, with strong entries across all classes and high praise from judges. Cattle and sheep  took centre stage, as farmers from Hertfordshire and beyond proudly exhibited their animals.

Equally successful were the horse competitions, which ran smoothly throughout the weekend with competitors and judges alike praising the “good going” in all rings.

Despite forecasts earlier in the week predicting rain, the show was blessed with lovely weather all weekend, adding to the atmosphere and allowing visitors to fully enjoy all that the show had to offer.

Show Executive Director Sarah Moreland commented:

“We’re absolutely thrilled with how this year’s Show went. The weather held out beautifully, Ben Atkinson wowed the crowds.  It’s always a joy to see families, farmers and visitors coming together to celebrate our wonderful countryside. A huge thank you to all our exhibitors, volunteers and supporters who made it possible.”

The Hertfordshire County Show continues to be one of the county’s most cherished annual events, celebrating rural life and bringing the community together in the heart of the countryside.
